2023 Legislative Session

How to Impact Bills During the
2023 Legislative Session

Because of COVID, innovations have been made to expand remote testimony capabilities so people can now testify on any bill, from anywhere.

Find the Bill’s Status

To find the bill’s status, search by bill number or bill name.

Testify on a Bill in Committee

A bill has a public hearing before Senate and House committees, before being considered on the floor of the House and Senate.

House and Senate committees meet using a format which allows for both in-person and remote participation.

You have the opportunity to provide written testimony, state your position on a bill, or register to testify either in person or remotely by registering at Committee Sign In.

Written testimony is important. The system saves written comments where committee members and staff can access and read it, and where committee staff will later place it in the committee file and archive it where it will be maintained as a part of the public record.
